A qualified candidate must possess a Bachelor of Science degree or an equivalent foreign degree in Electrical, Electronics, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering. The engineer must have 8 years of Instrumentation and Control Engineering experience.br br Position also requires 8 years of experience which can be gained concurrently with the primary experience requirement above with the followingbr br Applicable regulations and national and international instrument, electrical and controls standards specifically, 49 CFR Part 192, NFPA 70 National Electrical Code, NFPA 70E Electrical Safety in the Workplace, NFPA 79 Electrical Standard for Electrical Machinery, UL508, UL508A, UL698, UL698A and API RP 500 and the application of them to compressor station automation system design, construction, and operation.br Electrical design and construction requirements for Class 1, Division 1 and Class 1, Division 2 hazardous classified and nonhazardous locations, reading, interpreting, and developing electrical and mechanical drawings and diagrams, electrical schematics, piping and instrument diagrams PIDs, flow charts, and cause and effect diagrams.br Experience with natural gas compression units utilized in natural gas transmission systems, gathering systems or oil production facilities.br Designing and programming Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC systems and configuring and developing WonderwareAVEVA InTouch applications utilizing ArchestrA graphics.br Designing and implementing communication networks, including specification of physical media including, but not limited to, copper cabling, fiber optic cabling and radio transmission, selection and utilization of a variety of communication protocols including, but not limited to, Ethernet, ControlNet, DH, DF1, Modbus and ProfibusProfinet.br br The position requires travel approximately 50 or more per year, often overnight to contractor or Kinder Morgan sites for system testing, installation, commissioning and maintenance, as well as to attend training, meetings and conferences. Weekend travel is occasionally required. The engineer must possess and maintain a valid drivers license and a driving record satisfactory to the Company and its insurers.
