Masters degree in Physics, Optics, or a related engineering field, and 3 years industry experience. Must have a demonstrated ability with Semiconductor laser diode development and manufacturing; Expertise in designing, prototyping, aligning, automating, and integrating testing and evaluating electrooptical products with specific emphasis on lasers; Experience in the engineering design and development of new and existing semiconductor laser devices and complex packaging solutions; Expertise with the fabrication and assembly methods needed to optimize engineering designs for high reliability manufacturing; Experience aligning optical systems and testing laser optical products; Experience in the hardware software design of laser diode TEC driver electronics; Firm understanding of Design of Experiments methodology, scientific methods, and statistical process control needed to validate experimental results; Failure analysis of semiconductor laser diodes and packages.
