Specific Skills

Must have a Juris Doctor degree or foreign equivalent and at least 6 years of experience in the job offered or 6 years of experience with an international law firm representing multinational companies involved in secured and unsecured financing transactions, including senior secured, mezzanine and subordinated debt transactions; acquisition financings; loan workouts and restructurings. All stated experience must include at least 6 years of experience in each of the following structuring, negotiating, and documenting secured and unsecured financing transactions for borrowers, sponsors and other commercial entities in connection with junior and senior debt financings for leveraged buyouts, recapitalizations and other strategic transactions across a range of industries; shepherding due diligence teams and utilizing results of due diligence to advise clients on strategic initiatives; interpreting technical credit documentation at the request of clients; supervising associates and paralegals in drafting and reviewing basic legal documentation and complex credit documentation; conducting interviews for associates and staff; and mentoring associates and staff. Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois. Must also be willing to travel 5 domestically. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience.
