Minimum education required Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Electrical Engineering, or foreign equivalent degree. Minimum experience required 2 years experience in a manufacturing engineering position with a Tier1 supplier of automotive interior systems and components. Special skills required Must have 2 years of work experience in each of the following managing the launch industrialization processes for automotive interior systems and components; defining parameters for manufacturing processes assembly, sonic and vibration welding, laser weakening for automotive interior systems and components; defining and monitoring quality control parameters for new equipment from suppliers; defining preventative maintenance schedules for manufacturing equipment vibration welder, ultrasonic welder, laser weakening machines; reporting on manufacturing KPIs scrap, headcount, SMED, training progress; evaluating business case proposals for engineering change requests and providing feedback for makebuy decisions; leading continuous improvement activities stop scrap, 5s, TPM, lean manufacturing. Experience must include one program lifecycle for automotive interior systems or components program from development phase to series production. Experience may be acquired concurrently.
