Specific Skills

Masters degree or foreign equivalent in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or a closely related field and 2 years of experience as an engineer in the automotive industry. Experience must include designing and releasing automotive body and or battery structure components using cad tools such as CATIA NX and PLM tools such as enovia teamcenter and working on BOM and change management; working with cross functional teams towards robust vehicle packaging and creating GDT for components and assemblies; working on finite element analysis of parts and developing solutions together with CAE teams to meet NVH, crash safety and durability requirements at subsystem and vehicle level; developing and executing mixed material joints using DFM methodologies to ensure that designed parts can be mass produced; creating sourcing documents for supplier selection and working closely with suppliers to develop parts that meet cost and timing targets while supporting PPAP of parts; and conducting inplant launches with root cause analysis and countermeasure development. Domestic travel required approximately 15 of the time. Destination and frequency impossible to predict.
