Specific Skills

This position requires a Masters degree or equivalent in Statistics, Math, or related field and 1 year experience practicing software design principles. Must also have 6 months of experience which may have been gained concurrently with each of the following 1 working with exploratory data analysis, inference using hypothesis tests and confidence intervals, simple linear regression and analysis of variance; 2 designing large scale models using Logistic Regression, Linear Models Family Poisson models, Survival models, Hierarchical models, or NaveBayesian estimators, Conjoint Analysis, Spatial models, and Timeseries models; 3 working with parameter estimation, hypothesis testing, regression diagnostics, variable selection, polynomial regression and nonlinear regression; 4 implementing solutions to business problems using data analysis, data mining, optimization tools, and machine learning techniques and statistics; 5 implementing probability theory and its applications to statistical problems; and 6 designing and implementing an algorithmic solution, including data understanding, feature engineering, model development, validation and testing as well as utilizing the following programming languages Java, Scala, Python, and R. Will accept experience gained before, during or after Masters program. Position includes a telecommute benefit within commuting distance to a Sunnyvalearea Target office, as directed.
