Candidate must also have two 2 years of related work experience involving each of the followingbr br Assessing current system and developing complex engineering designs in support of the IBM Db2 LUW Linux, UNIX, and Windows database environment;br Providing operational readiness for IBM Db2 LUW and distributed environments through the engineering lifecycle including planning, coordinating, and executing performance and tuning analysis, systems support, and incident management;br Configuring and tuning database initialization parameters for User Acceptance Testing UAT and production databases for optimal database performance;br Performing High Availability HA Disaster Recovery DR for both partial and complete site failures to protect against data loss by replicating data changes from the primary database to standby databases;br Participating in solving HA issues related to HADR, IBM MQSeries, and Replication methods for highvolume, lowlatency replication solutions that use IBM MQ Message Queue to transmit transactions between source and target databases and subsystems;br Reviewing and optimizing Top running SQLs Structured Query Language in UAT and production in IBM Db2 databases for better system response time, throughput, resource utilization, and rebuilding of indexes to optimize performance;br Developed scripts for cold backups, startup and shutdown, database health checks, analyzing tables, run statistics, reorgs and rebuilding indexes in UAT and PRODUCTION databases; andbr Performing database and SQL performance tuning per application requirements using Toad Tools for Oracle Application Development for IBM Db2 LUW and IBM Data Studio.
