Position requires a Bachelors degree, or foreign equivalent, in Risk Management and Insurance, or a closely related field of study, plus 7 years of experience in the job offered, or as an Underwriter Energy, Underwriting Assistant, Deputy Underwriter, or similar property underwriting position. Must have 7 years of experience with each of the following negotiating program structures, including terms and conditions; providing customer service by meeting or exceeding broker or customer expectations with respect to required deadlines; assessing risks; working with time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business; and building relationships, analyzing needs, and negotiating. Must also have 5 years of experience with each of the following working with Energy, Oil, Gas and Chemical lines of business; and working with underwriting philosophy, techniques, national and local filing regulations and guidelines. Additionally, specific experience must include 3 years of experience with each of the following conducting presentations with focus on solutions and service; and working with excel data management tools, including data tables, linking across files, nested formulas, array formulas and data cleaning. Must also have 2 years of experience developing energy property policy premiums by using computer pricing and catastrophe modelling tools. Must be willing to travel within the U.S. Option to work remotely is available.
