Specific Skills

This position requires a Masters degree or equivalent in Materials Science and Engineering, Engineering, or a related field and 3 years related experience. Must also have 12 months of demonstrated ability which may have been gained concurrently with each of the following 1 writing and qualifying welding specifications WPS and welder qualification WPQ with respect to ASME IX and AWS D.1 welding codes; 2 reviewing various Non Destructive Evaluation NDE activities such as UT, RT, MT and PT evaluate to ASME and AWS code standards; 3 reviewing various inspection activities such as raw material identification, heat treatment, welding, and surface finish; 4 failure investigation and troubleshooting in welding process; and 5 working with CI, 8D, and Kaizen. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently. Will accept experience gained before, during or after Masters program. This position requires less than 10 domestic and international travel.
