Design and development of suspension stabilizer bars, both solid and tubular, and coiled springs for automotive OEMs.br 2. Develop Stabilizer Bar Systems and Coiled Springs product solutions, from concept including material selection through manufacturing using both hot and cold forming process.br 3. Using FEA, FMEA, APQP and GDT tools.br br Experience may be obtained concurrently.br br This is a key position with Sogefi Air Cooling USA, Inc., responsible in part for designing, developing and leading the engineering of Stabilizer Bar Systems including the bar, bushings and brackets, and Coiled Springs, using FEA, APQP, FMEA, GDT for OEM; leading project team in development of technical solution and in completion of APQP process; assisting prototype and tooling departments in understanding customers specifications, and sourcing selection for prototypes and production parts suppliers; defining and developing valid product technical solutions to meet the OEM, Customer and Sogefi Air Cooling USA, Inc. specifications, including choice of material solid or tube, dimensions, steel grade and finish, choice of process hot or cold forming, heat treatment, corrosion protection; organizing and ensuring the Design Validation Phase of products from prototyping coordination to confirming test results and program timing, including engineering changes; acting as a liaison between Central Product Development Center in France and the US, maintaining consistencies in designdevelopment knowledge and engineering expertise; and editing, tracking, and maintaining project timing plans and profitability. Because this is a key and critical position, requiring extensive knowledge of, as well as experience with, applicable engineering concepts and issues, a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field, or foreign equivalent education, and 4 years of experience working in the automotive field, is required, as the position involves preparing and conducting quality gate reviews of project; acting as primary point of contact between customers and Sogefi; developing Stabilizer Bar Systems and Coiled Springs product solutions, from concept including material selection through manufacturing using both hot and cold forming process; and using FEA, FMEA, APQP and GDT tools.
