Must have PhD and 3 years of experience with pharmaceutical manufacturing of small molecules processes, including Spray Drying, Roller Compaction, Tablet Compression and Film Coating; and the pharmaceutical manufacturing of large molecules processes, including Yeast Fermentation, CHO cell culture, purification processes. Must also have experience working with the following empirical, 1st principles and mechanistic modeling of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.; Process Analytical Technology Analyzers such as NearInfrared, Raman, Fluorescence and FBRM Spectroscopy, particle size and mass spectrometry analyzers; SIMCA Online for realtime multivariate statistical process control in GMP environments; Siemens SIPAT for the operation of PAT analyzers in GMP environments; and validation and qualification of PAT software and hardware.br br H.12 PLEASE NOTE that the requirements bear a reasonable relationship to the occupation of Chemists in the context of the global pharmaceutical industry and are essential to perform the job in a reasonable manner. All of our Senior Scientist, Chemistry, have at least the education and experience listed in the minimum requirements, or the equivalent, and we would not hire anyone for this position who did not possess these credentials. This employee must have the advanced, indepth, and highly specialized understanding of chemistry gained through a PhD program in order to provide the level of scientific and research expertise required of this position. In addition, this Senior Scientist must be skilled enough to independently perform complex scientific experiments. Other advanced job duties include prioritizing applications of realtime multivariate statistical process control; leading the development and validation GMP of empirical, 1st principles and mechanistic process models for small molecules and large molecules applications; implementing and maintaining process models; and leading department initiatives to enhance data integrity and GMP compliance, among other senior duties. This level of expertise comes through a combination of advanced scientific education and handson experience. In addition, there is added complexity when working within the global pharmaceutical industry due to the industryspecific duties including working with proprietary data, working within FDA and GMP guidelines, and the serious consequences of error when working within the highly regulated pharmaceutical industry. Therefore, the employer has determined that a minimum of a PhD and 3 years of experience are necessary to perform this position.
