Specific Skills

This position requires a Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Chemical Engineering. This position requires a Professional Engineer PE license. Requires three years experience as a Process Engineer or related position in Brewing or Distilling. Experience must include Brewery Process design in the areas of raw materials handling, mashing, wort separation and wort boiling, yeast management, and fermentation; Distillery process design in the areas of raw materials handling, cereal cooking, yeast management, fermentation, and distillation; Supporting the design of clean in place CIP and sterilize in place SIP projects with hygienic process elements that can be chemically cleaned and sterilized without manual intervention or disassembly and providing technical engineering support to calculate equipmentsizing for hygienic vessels, pumps, and pipework; Designing specifications for brewing and distilling processes, from first principles to detailed design; Managing an engineering team to execute process design within medium to large scale brewing and distilling projects; and Utilizing clear knowledge and expertise of statutory regulations, such as process safety management PSM, to monitor process safety within brewing, distilling and other processing designs, including environmental process issues involving site air, groundwater, and drain emissions. Requires travel within North America and South America, with Occasional Travel to Europe. Frequency impossible to predict. Please note, on June 8, 2017, Mr. Dicks was awarded a Professional Engineer PE License by the state of Maryland. Additionally, on April 23, 2017, Mr. Dicks was also awarded a Professional Engineer PE License by the State of New York. Therefore, Mr. Dicks meets the licenseskills requirements as stated in Section H.14.
