Must possess a Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field and 2 years of experience as an Engineer in the automotive industry. Experience must include Working with Computer Aided Design CAD to aid in release engineering for Automotive Design Engineering and Product Lifecycle Management PLM tools for development of automotive systems; utilizing Computer Aided Engineering CAE for Automotive Stimulation Engineering and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing GDT; developing Design for Manufacture DFM and Design for Assembly DFA; working with graphical tools including, Fault Tree Analysis FTA; applying organizational optimization when utilizing organizational management tools used for planning, scheduling projects, etc.; designing injection molding, formingstamping, casting, extrusion, and composite layup components; working with lithium ion cell chemistries and form factors; and applying knowledge of battery system architectures, electrical systems, and circuit analysis. Domestic andor international travel required approximately 10 of the time. Destination and frequency impossible to predict.
