We will also accept an MS and 3 years of experience.br H.12 PLEASE NOTE that the requirements bear a reasonable relationship to the occupation of Chemists in the context of the global pharmaceutical industry and are essential to perform the job in a reasonable manner. All of our Senior Scientists, Chemistry have at least the education and experience listed in the minimum requirements, and we would not hire anyone for this position who did not possess these credentials. This employee must have the advanced, indepth, and highly specialized understanding of chemistry gained through an advanced degree program in order to provide the level of scientific expertise required of this position. In addition, because this Senior Scientist is responsible for the design and synthesis of novel chemical entities with the goal of enabling drug discovery programs to positively impact human disease, and ensuring the synthesized compounds progress through decisionmaking assays, this Senior Scientist must be able to independently perform complex scientific experiments. This level of expertise comes through a combination of advanced scientific education and handson experience. In addition, there is added complexity when working within the global pharmaceutical industry due to the industryspecific duties including working with proprietary data, working within FDA guidelines, and the serious consequences of error when working within the highly regulated pharmaceutical industry. Therefore, the employer has determined that a PhD and 1 year of experience or a MS and 3 years of experience are necessary to perform this position.
