Applying CFD theoretical concepts including adequate meshing resolution, solution accuracy and convergence, boundary condition setup, transient modeling, turbulence modeling and CFD code development experience for flows involving complex physics.br 4. Crossfunctional teamwork including interacting with CAE, test and manufacturing product engineers.br 5. Analyzing test data and CFD model benchmarking.br br Experience may be obtained concurrently.br br This is a key position with AAM, responsible in part for performing computational fluid dynamics CFD analysis including both multiphase thermal and internal flow analysis on Axle, PTU, RDM components to predict lubrication and thermal performance using ANSYS Fluent or STARCCM; performing CFD analysis on fluid and thermal performance of clutches, cavitation and aeration of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, fluidstructure interaction of valves using ANSYS Fluent or StarCCM; develop scriptscodes for complex geometrymeshing, physics involving NonNewtonian flows and turbulence models using Matlab or C or FORTRAN; and working with Product Engineering to ensure axle performance and efficiency. Because this is a key and critical position, requiring extensive knowledge of, as well as experience with, applicable engineering concepts and issues, a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or foreign equivalent education, and 3 years of experience working in CFD field is required, as the position involves CFD modeling including Multiphase thermal and internal flow modeling of lubrication related to automotive; CFD modeling to evaluate fluid and thermal performance of clutches, cavitation and aeration of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, fluidstructure interaction of valves; applying CFD theoretical concepts including adequate meshing resolution, solution accuracy and convergence, boundary condition setup, transient modeling, turbulence modeling and CFD code development experience for flows involving complex physics; crossfunctional teamwork including interacting with CAE, test and manufacturing product engineers; and analyzing test data and CFD model benchmarking.
