Work with crossfunctional teams including systems, internal external customers, suppliers and service departments.br br Experience may be obtained concurrently.br br This is a key position with AAM, responsible in part for the design, development and release of actuation components, including gears, shift sleeves, shift rails and forks, clutches, shafts, seals, gaskets, bearings, springs, housings, and fasteners; analysis of actuation component requirements to create engineering documentation and work plans to complete project deliverables, including Product specifications, DFMEA, DFMDFA, GDT dimension schemes, tolerance stacks, material selection, bills of materials BoMs, drawings, and models; definition and execution of ADVPRs and DVPRs including limit samples and production variation; and for leading engineering activities to meet product requirements and program timing defined by customersystemsapplicationprogram management teams. Because this is a key and critical position, requiring extensive knowledge of, as well as experience with, applicable engineering concepts and issues, a Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Industrial, Mechanical, or Automotive Engineering, or a related engineering field, or foreign equivalent education, and 5 years post baccalaureate progressive experience working in the automotive industry, is required, as the position involves engineering design and development of actuation components; ability to define and execute ADVPR andor DVPR of actuation components; ability to define and implement DFMEA methodology for actuation components; ability to define, develop and execute VAVE activities for actuation components; and working with crossfunctional teams including systems, internal external customers, suppliers and service departments.
