This is an Associate Director level position, making it a very senior position within Mercks Global Compliance and RiskManagement Department. Specifically, this employee has ultimate responsibility for determining the cyber risk posed to Merck Technology Assets, Business Process and Third parties, including geopolitical concerns, cyber threats, vulnerabilities, adversaries and their techniques, tactics and procedures. The importance of this role cannot be overstated as the risk of cyber attacks would be devastating for Mercks business as well as the millions of physicians and patients that rely on Mercks drugs and vaccines, and rely on the confidentiality of their health data. This position must have the indepth, complex and theoretical understanding of computer science gained through a university education in order to provide the level of analysis and support required of this position. In addition, they must have the breadth and depth of experience in this field gained through significant handson experience. Therefore, Merck has determined that an MS and 10 years of experience, or a BS and 12 years of experience, are required.
