Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, plus three years related substation design experience, or in the alternative, Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, plus five years related substation design experience. Must be a licensed Professional Engineer or equivalent. Experience must include working with complex engineering client standards and metrics, and with IEEE NEC, and NESC standards. Experience must include Design of high voltage electrical transmission substations of 69 KV or greater voltage; Preparing a variety of electrical engineering deliverables, including Relay and station onelines, equipment connection diagrams, panel elevations, and protection control schematics for power substation facilities; Preparing auxiliary power equipment sizing calculations; Designing equipment arrangement, elevation views, grounding and conduit plans; Preparing wiring diagrams for protective relaying panels; Performing and reviewing engineering calculations related to substation projects including ACDC station service loading, conductor sizing, conduit fill, and voltage drop; Creating RTU control, status, and analog point lists, racewaycable schedules, bill of materials, and nameplates; Developing recommendations for equipment and materials selection; Reviewing and approving vendor drawings; Developing construction release documents; and understanding and adhering to budget, schedule, and quality requirements. Must have experience with AutoCAD, Bentley MicroStation, and Microsoft Office software. Must have good written and verbal communications skills in English. All applicants must be able to complete preemployment onboarding requirements if selected which may include anyall of the following criminalcivil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
