Bachelors degree or equivalent in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or related field 7 years of experience working with at least 1,000 natural and synthetic flavor ingredients for flavor performance, synergistic effect, stability, solubility, cost, and regulatory constraint and 7 years optimizing natural and synthetic flavor ingredients to formulate flavors to meet project requirements. Prior experience must also include 7 years of experience in the following working as a flavorist in flavor creation within food applications and flavor production; using tasting skills to adjust flavor formulations and create flavor modifications; using raw materials and flavor ingredients to deliver flavor performance problem solving processes, research, and development needs; interfacing with internal and external partners and customers to discuss the flavor creation needs for multiple flavor types and providing direction to help solve client flavor performance issues; working with local and regional regulatory requirements for flavors; preparing and presenting flavor creationrelated technical presentations focusing on flavor creation, applications, sensory, consumer understanding, analytical science, and marketing; formulating delivery systems including emulsion, spray dry, and solvent extract flavors for various application bases including beverages and sweet goods; utilizing analytical methodologies including GC, HPLC, and Mass Spec.; and using technology to improve performance and in specific technical aspects affecting flavor stability in bases for various flavor types. Up to 25 international and domestic travel required.br br J.12 Mr. Yosuke Onume attained the U.S equivalent of a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the Tokyo University of Science in Tokyo, Japan in March 2004.
