This senior role leads our new data engineering practice and establishes Finicitys data engineering policies and procedures while performing and leading the work in architecting distributed systems, creating reliable pipelines, combining data sources, architecting data stores, and collaborating with data science and development teams to build the right solutions for them. To manage the data engineering strategy, prioritization, and business cases and ensure alignment with leadership, board and shareholders, this role must hold a Masters degree and 8 years of experience. The complex duties of this role, including enhancing and scaling infrastructure, including hybrid cloud, local federateddecentralized as appropriate data storage, and processing, require extensive experience in areas such as Kubernetes and Containers, Python, Pandas, Scipy, Numpy, and Tensorflows. The depth of knowledge required to perform these duties at a company that partners with some of the largest financial institutions in the U.S. is typically acquired through years of handson experience. It is critical that the individual in this role be able to provide technical leadership in adopting leadingedge technologies and methodologies and guide seasoned technical professionals based on expertise and prior experience.
