Must have five 5 years of progressively responsible experience withbr Modeling using GGY AXIS, including building cashflow testing models, specific product features, manipulating DataLink and testing;br Querying using SQL and designing stored procedures and process automation;br Working knowledge of statutory and GAAP reserving concepts and regulations such as Asset Adequacy Analysis, Canadian Asset Liability Method, Loss Recognition Testing and RiskBased Capital;br Asset Liability Modeling ALM;br Knowledge of reinvestment concepts such as cashflow and duration matching, and derivative overlays;br Using Visual Basic to automate processes;br Projecting and evaluating company capital position and performing sensitivity testing such as Stressed Regulatory Capital and RiskBased Capital calculations;br Developing memos for the reviewing actuary Chief, Appointed Actuary andor regulating bodies;br Reviewing actuarial calculations and providing recommendations based on results with actuarial judgment;br Financial results, balance sheet income statement analysis;br Creating and updating models in Excel;br Working with relational databases and large amounts of data including data scrubbing and manipulation;br Broad understanding of financial services products in the market, including individual and workplace solutions; andbr Cashflow testing and analysis, on the portfolio and seriatim levels, including use of policy premium method PPM.
