Specific Skills

The qualified candidate must have at least a Masters degree or foreign equivalent degree in Chemical Engineering or closely related Engineering field. The qualified candidate must have at least 2 years of experience in a chemical process improvement role with 2 years of applied PSM. The qualified candidate must have at least 2 years of experience in all of the following; a working with and understanding Chemical Unit Operations and with chemical reactions and processes including splitting, distillation, hydrogenation, high and low temperature operations and high and low pressure operations; b facilitating internal evaluations PHAs of new and existing processes utilizing site recognized techniques and implementing recommendations; c interacting with Management and other Engineers in preparation for periodic PSM audits, PHA revalidations, external audits and assisting with determining appropriate timely resolutions; d participating in PreStartup Safety Reviews PSSR and root cause analysis of incidents; e maintaining all site PSM procedures ensuring compliance with regulatory, regional and corporate requirements; f participating in internal EHS audits and external EPA audits; g ensuring site compliance with NFPA, OSHA, ISO and EPA regulations; h developing and following yearly technical and business strategic plans and executing process improvement objectives aligned with those plans. All experience may be gained concurrently. Employer will accept candidates with any suitable combination of education and experience as described in H4 to H10, above.
