Utilizing the following tools FMEA, APQP, PPAP, MSA, GDT and SPC.br br Experience may be obtained concurrently.br br This is a key position with AAM, responsible in part for applying and supporting quality systems requirements to include IATF 16949 and AIAG quality tools for AAM internally and for external customers through auditing; navigating and interpreting Automotive OEM warrantyquality systems and associated metrics; performing teardown analysis and structured problem solving for warranty returned driveline products; defining and improving parameters for machining and assembly of products related to oiling, sealing and leak testing; defining minimum requirements for common processes to prevent repeat issues and prepare new programs for success; working with customer Automotive OEM plants to provide technical assistance and support for emerging quality issues; developing and implementing standards and methods for inspection using MSA SPC on assembly equipment and processes; and conducting read across, best practice and lesson learned activities across global AAM sites. Because this is a key and critical position, requiring extensive knowledge of, as well as experience with, applicable concepts and quality issues, a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field, or foreign equivalent education and 4 years of experience working in the automotive industry, is required, as the position involves applying customer specific quality requirements to Automotive OEMs; conducting follow up on root cause analysis and corrective actions for these warranty returns and formal customer quality complaints; reviewing SharePoint Corrective Action Reports CARs to ensure proper root cause and corrective actions are identified; and conducting layered process audits at AAM driveline facilities and troubleshooting quality issues and concerns line side.
