H.8A and H.8C Employer will accept a Masters degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, Material Sciences, Physics, or a related academic field and 4 years of experience in Materials Research, Materials Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering in lieu of a Doctor of Philosophy degree.br br Academic research or work experience to include 1 Conducting research and designing and executing experiments in a materials science laboratory. 2 Performing Materials characterization of electron or ion conducting materials using at least two of the following techniques XPS, XRD, SEM, TEM, SIMS, or Auger. 3 Developing vacuum and high temperature processes with a focus on purity and reproducibility. 4 Applying Design of Experiments DOE methodology and statistically analyzing experimental data using one of the following software programs MATLAB, JMP, R, python, or Minitab.br br If qualifying under the alternate set of requirements, must have 2 years of experience in Skills 1 to 3 and 6 months of experience in Skill 4.br br Any and all experience may be gained concurrently.br br Employer requires background and reference checks.
