Specific Skills

The two 2 years of experience required in Section H must be related experience. Experience must include one 1 year of experience, which may be concurrent, in all of the following 1 leading indepth polymer qualifications through specialized analyses and characterizations, and managing polymer design efforts leading to new technology platforms and new products; 2 assessing the chemistry and technology at bench scale and determining a plan to scale into production while maintaining structure and performance characteristics; 3 performing extensive literature research to understand structureproperty relationships in order to design and execute laboratory experiments to analyze product performance characteristics; 4 identifying and understanding the intellectual property for developed products including how it fits with competitive protection and securing relevant intellectual property by patent application and by safeguarding company trade secrets; and 5 utilizing the following tools and technologies analytical instruments including TGA, DSC, FTIR, HPLC, NMR, DMA, GPC, Mass Spec. elemental analysis, and mechanical testing; small molecular and macromolecule synthesis techniques. All experience may be gained concurrently and may have been gained before, during or after completion of the Ph.D. degree program. Domestic travel required up to 10 of the time.
