Minimum Requirement to obtain the CDA Certificatebr br The Alien has a Bachelor in Education, Early childhood Education.br br Necessity Letterbr br Community Imagination Station has been specially designed to meet the needs of children from Toddlers to School Age.br In the Reggio Emilia Philosophy Which is our philosophy of education the teacher must know how to use the Teachable moments with her group of pupils and transforming into a lesson plan. Also the Lead Teacher must know how to plan an educational day base in the childrens interest.br As we have to work with the interest of children, the teacher must be able to observe the classroom environment, convert it and transform it to provoke the interest in specific educational learning goals.br It is not a matter of know how to follow a premade curriculum for preschool. It is a matter of know how to plan, teach, observe, and assess each individual child, applying the Florida standards for 4 years old, but following the philosophy and educational requirements.br With a CDA certificate, a person follows a 120 hours of basic routines and techniques to teach young children. These skills are far from what a teacher in the Reggio Emilia Philosophy must have to be able to successfully teach a child. This means that we cannot hire this person in a position for lead teacher.br Also, in most of the states and even countries, our philosophy of education is taught in careers such as preschool, early childhood and elementary; so teachers with Bachelor Degrees already know what we do and how we teach. CDA Certified teachers do not have any knowledge about any philosophy of education.br For the reasons explained above our Preschool Teacher must have a Bachelor Degree before hiring with at least 12 months of experience. This teacher will carefully plan age appropriate activities that revolve around the childrens interests. They will use the natural curiosity of children to inspire learning of various subjects and projects. These activities include Gross Motor, Fine Motor, Language, Sensory, Cognitive, and Creative Expression. To ensure that each child is happy and actively involved, we encourage all children to participate, but allow them to choose the activities. Teachers work with the children through the activities in small groups to provide individualized attention and periodic child development assessments. Teachers will also implement a system of careful documentation that will record the progress of each individual child and give an overview of their own personal style. Our school also benefits from BiLingual teachers that will inspire the understanding of other languages in children.br The teachers are able to implement the curricula that we use for preschool which are The Land of the Letter People, Starfall, and Creative Curriculum which follow and support the Florida standards for 4 years old, also known as Voluntary PreKindergarten VPK, in a format that allows children to develop their thinking skills and problem solving.br Students are encouraged to research their projects and investigations, from hypotheses to conclusions.
