As stated in H.11, the primary duties of the job relate to assisting Interactive Brokers toptier Asian clients that solely speak Mandarin, trading on US markets, including financial advisors, premium retail clients, financial institutions and hedge funds located in Asia, with trades and portfolio analysis; and communicating with clients in Mandarin to provide subject matter expertise and provide solutions to inquiries while complying with all policies, practices, and procedures. This requires the incumbent to act as the translator and the lead communicator to maintain adequate communications with our Asian clients that solely speak Mandarin. A majority of the incumbents duties require fluency in Mandarin and the job offered could not be performed in a minimally competent and acceptable manner by a candidate who was not fluent in Mandarin. Mr. Yi Liu, who is the beneficiary of this PERM application, is fluent in Mandarin, which is required in order to perform the duties of the position of Bilingual Financial Global Generalist Mandarin.
