Specific Skills

This position requires a PhD or equivalent in Operations Research, Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics or related field. In the alternate, employer will accept a Masters degree or equivalent in Operations Research, Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics or related field and 2 years of related experience. Must also have experience with each of the following 1 Practical experience building predictive and optimization models to improve processes, operations and decision making; 2 Utilizing operations research practices and mathematical models to solve challenging problems; 3 Understanding of basic planting breeding methodologies and applications, quantitative genetics and genetics by environment interactions; 4 Theoretical and practical experience on operations research, optimization and simulations; and, 5 Theoretical and practical experience of statistical modeling, data mining, machine learning, deep learning. Will accept experience gained before, during or after Masters program. All experience may be gained concurrently. Candidates must pass a background check and drug test before beginning employment.
