Minimum education and experience required Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Design, or foreign equivalent degree, and 2 years experience in a CAD engineering or product engineering position or combination with a Tier1 automotive supplier of seating systems. Required skills Must have 2 years work experience in each of the following release of automotive seat drawings in compliance with OEM standards; development and validation of concept designs for sourcing to suppliers; formulation of complete seat designs that comply with international vehicle safety regulations FMVSS and ECE; creation of technical presentation used for customer communication. Must have 6 months work experience in each of the following analysis of seat designs to identify and solve manufacturing and assembly problems; analysis and elimination of buzzsqueakrattle issues for automotive seats; application of 8D and Ishikawa problemsolving methodologies to lead manufacturing problem solving activities. Experience may be acquired concurrently.
