Bachelors or higher degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field willing to accept foreign education equivalent plus eighteen months of experience performing fuel excise tax return preparation and review. Eighteen months of experience must include reviewing business process, work papers, and tax returns to gather tax requirements, and reviewing functional specification documents to identify tax impact; designing business processes using industry standard tools; drafting test scenarios related to indirect tax for testing, and resolving any defects; gathering and documenting indirect tax requirements for business and performing system fit and gap analysis, and impact analysis; implementing tax solutions, including requirements analysis, design of solution configuration of system and testing golive, and developing solutions for implementing transaction tax tools; preparing monthly motor fuels tax returns and supporting documents for multiple state and federal jurisdictions focused on gasoline, diesel and biodiesel products; preparing and reviewing Terminal Operator reports and motor fuels returns using TZI, PDI, Avalara Returns Excise, and Right Angle; and developing and testing logic in tax preparation software in order to expedite and improve the return preparation process for high volumehigh liability tax returns. Position requires 80 travel.
