Evaluate vehicle SRP performances to ensure FMVSS regulations are met.br br Experience may be obtained concurrently.br br This is a key position with Joyson Safety Systems Acquisition, responsible for performing Finite Element Analyses for automotive safety restraint products, known as SRP, including steering wheels, airbags and seatbelts using LSDYNA; conducting failure analyses on SRP; building models of folded airbag and deployment using Simfolder and LSDYNA; and evaluating SRP performances to ensure FMVSS regulations are met. Because this is a key and critical position, requiring extensive knowledge of, as well as experience in performing Finite Element Analyses on automotive SRP using FE software, a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field, or foreign equivalent education, and five years post baccalaureate progressive experience working in the automotive safety restraints field, is required, as the position involves performing SRP failure analyses using FE software, preparing airbag folding and deployment models using FE software, as well as evaluating vehicle SRP performances to ensure that FMVSS regulations are met.
