Fluency in the Japanese language is required to fulfill the duties of this position. The majority of the companys clients approximately 90 consist of Japanese companies in the financial, importexport, manufacturing and hospitality industries, who require our assistance in designing and maintaining their networks and systems. These companies often have bilingual systems and programs both in Japanese and English, as they serve both Japanese and English speaking customers in the U.S. For our Senior Sales Engineer to effectively manage major sales accounts for our Japanese corporate clients, she must be able to understand Japanese as the relevant data are both in Japanese and English. In particular, she must liaise and communicate with clients in Japanese to understand their specific system requirements and accurately analyze systemrelated information. Then, our Senior Sales Engineer must collaborate with our engineers to determine clients specific IT system needs, select appropriate design solutions and continue to provide sales support for clients in Japanese. Additionally, our Senior Sales Engineer prepares and delivers technical presentation in Japanese explaining our companys IT services to customers, as well as assist with training client engineers in use and maintenance of IT systems. In other words, Senior Sales Engineers at SYSCOM utilize Japanese on a daily basis, and therefore, a Senior Sales Engineer who cannot communicate, read and write in fluent Japanese will not be able to effectively perform the duties described at Item # H11 above.br br Further, travel 23 timesyear for meetings at company headquarters in NYC is required.
