Specific Skills

Fluency in the Japanese language, both written and spoken, is required to fulfill the duties of this position because of the nature of our niche market business. EOS was established through the transfer of a segment of the Japanese business practice of Ernst Young LLP. We provide a full range of accounting services including, but not limited to, audit, accounting, attestation, tax preparation, and consultation to our clients, who range from U.S. subsidiaries or affiliates of major Japanese multinational corporations to smaller emerging growth companies entering the U.S. market for the first time. Our firms website, as well as recruitment and other marketing materials, are primarily in Japanese please see www.eosllp.com. In fact, 99 of our Los Angeles Offices clients are Japanese companies. Since most of our clients are Japanese corporate clients who have minimal knowledge of the English language, the majority of our services approximately 70 are provided in Japanese. Thus, in order to effectively serve our clients, an Audit Accountant Managers must also be able to provide accountingauditattest services and advice using Japanese accounting terminology. In addition, she must oversee multiple, complex attestation projects and audit research, including review of financial statements and attest documents prepared by Audit Staff and Senior Accountants using information supplied in Japanese and English, and ensure such documents conform to U.S. GAAP and U.S. GAAS standards. Because our Audit Accountant Manager will use Japanese about 70 of the time, it would be extremely difficult for an Audit Accountant Manager to fulfill the duties of this position without complete fluency in the Japanese language. Therefore, fluency in Japanese is an absolute business necessity for the Audit Accountant Manager position in question.br br Further, travel approximately 15 of the time to unanticipated client sites in California for audits is required.br br Additionally, as an Audit Accountant Manager in our Torrance, CA Office holds himherself out to the public as a licensed Certified Public Accountant CPA, a CPA license is required for this position.
