Knowledge of statistical integrated circuit IC process variation as it applies to Monte Carlo simulation to predict IC yieldbr 3. Working with advanced analog simulations supported with Spectre, such as sensitivity analysis, mismatch, stability, loop finder, and fast Fourier transform FFT to characterize electrical designs and predict electrical performance of the design before IC fabricationbr 4. Debugging technical issues with analog circuit simulation, utilizing understanding of mathematics behind a SPICE simulator and how different settings, such as reltol impact performance, convergence and accuracybr 5. Analog circuit performance, including understanding of how Metal Oxide Silicon Field Effect Transistor MOSFET devices age over time and impact of aging on MOSFET electrical characteristicsbr 6. Knowledge of tradeoffs needed for meeting design requirements, impacts on low power requirements, EM requirements and yield, and how EDA tools can be used to analyze those tradeoffs and accurately predict the behavior of the siliconbr 7. Analyzing circuit performance, including eye diagram, Commonmode rejection ratio CMRR, Power Supply Rejection Ratio PSRR, Signaltonoise and distortion ratio SINAD, ratio of signal power to noise power SNR measurements, frequency jitter and techniques for using FFT in ultralow noise designsbr 8. Utilizing knowledge of IC fabrication process and how it relates to electrical performance of circuits relative to overall design specificationsbr br Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States.
