BMC Health System, Inc. is a notforprofit corporation which oversees the operations of its subsidiaries and affiliates. It is the sole corporate member of BMC BMCHP. BMC is a communitybased, academic medical center and the primary teaching affiliate of Boston University School of Medicine. BMCHP is a managed care organization founded by BMC, which offers Medicaid and Commonwealth care health insurance coverage. BMCHS currently employs an estimated 428 employees in Population Health and Information Technology services, and is expected to grow. BMCHS is currently reorganizing its internal corporate structure including IT services. BMCHS provides IT services including software, hardware, staffing, management of thirdparty vendors, system monitoring timely incident response to BMC and BMCHP. The position of Business Intelligence Developer III is a technically advanced position that works under minimal supervision. It involves developing complex reports and improving models that serve the reporting and analysis needs of business users and staff at all corporate levels, and collaborating with multiple parties including key business representatives and IT project managers. The job duties responsibilities are critical to ensuring the proper implementation maintenance of the health systems majorprocess software. The position demands the ability to establish and drive reporting standards, provide technical guidance to business adhoc report developers on appropriate usage of the semantic models, collaborate on developing logical data models, physical data models and ETL programs, and share knowledgementor on the design, development, testing and deployment of high quality reporting solutions. These are all advancedlevel duties responsibilities that require the Business Intelligence Developer III to have indepth understanding of computer science principles, as well as several years of hands on, professional IT experience involving BI and working with large, complex database management systems. As a result, we have determined that a Bachelors degree and 7 years of experience are the minimum qualifications necessary to perform the job duties of the position.
