Full Requirements Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering plus 3 years of experience performing engineering duties in the automotive industry including 1 developing automotive interior products design concepts and solutions to meet OEM requirements of major auto manufacturers, 2 verifying products design concepts using FEM and testing prototypes parts as OEM design specifications, 3 reviewing detailed drawing sets and specs from design concept through production at the component and assembly level, 4 procuring prototype sourcestooling and verifying tooling capability, 5 Analyzing designs and confirming manufacturing feasibility using GDT, DFMEA, DFM andor related techniques, 6 Using ADQP to track program timelines and engineering documentation, and 7 Developing individual component and overall system design using 3D CAD surface modeling such as CATIA. At least 1 year of the required experience must have included performing cost savingsprocessing efficiencies including monitoring process cycle time, performing Time Study analyses for manufacturing assembly sequence, applying Lean Manufacturing or Kaizen principles, andor performing feasibility analysis in response to RFQs. In lieu of a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering plus 3 years of experience, will accept a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering plus 5 years of progressive postbaccalaureate experience as described above.
