Specific Skills

The minimum education requirement for appointment to this position is a Doctorate degree in Statistics or a closely related area. Candidates nearing completion of the degree may be considered; however, all requirements for conferral of the degree must be met no later than August 17, 2020. Candidates must demonstrate evidence of successful universitylevel teaching experience in Statistics, including the ability or willingness to teach a variety of classes; willingness to consult with faculty and students; success or potential for conducting scholarly research or grant development in statistics; and a strong interest in working with undergraduates. Preference will be given to candidates who are active in research, who have demonstrated success or potential to contribute to our undergraduate research program, who have experience with curriculum development in Statistics, and can demonstrate competency in modern statistical programming methods.
