Specific Skills

All of the following are required, prior to effective date of the appointment a Medical degree MD, DO, or foreign equivalent; Completion of a 3year 36month Internal Medicine Residency as specified in H.5A and H.5B; Board eligibility in Internal Medicine as defined by completion of aforementioned 3year Internal Medicine Residency; Licensure by the State of Ohio Medical Board, with a valid DEA license for Schedule IIV, and all independent prescriptive authority therein; and a valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support ACLS certificate.br br In addition, as noted in the Job duties section H.11., this fulltime UC faculty appointment also requires the individual to hold a Physician appointment with UC Physicians, Inc., the affiliated nonprofit practice group of UCs College of Medicine COM and corporate structure for its faculty to provide patient care services per COMs mission. These dual appointments are inseparably integrated into one position, with no delineation of hours worked nor differentiation of responsibilities between the two, as the instruction of medical studentsresidents and academic research required of both is directly based on clinical cases. Failure to maintain either appointment results in automatic and simultaneous termination of both.
