Requires 4 years of construction experience including carpentry, commercial painting, and drywall installation. Experience and skills must include 1 Ability to travel to job sites across Texas for up to 2 weeks per trip. 2 Ability to perform physical activities, including lifting equipment up to 80 lbs. unassisted, bending, standing, climbing or walking. 3 Ability to safely use manual tools and power equipment, including saws, routers, drills, sanders, grinders, planers, drill presses, nail guns, paint spray guns, texture spray hoppers and various hand tools. 4 Must have reliable transportation and basic carpentry, painting and dry wall finishing hand tools. 5 Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, shop drawings, and sketches. 6 Experience performing a variety of framing duties, including cuttrimhangfinish doors, overhangs, cement forms, and interior furnishings. 7 Experience installing, replacing, and repairing windows and door frames. 8 Experience designing, constructing, retrofitting and repairing cabinetry and other types of furniturefacilities. 9 Experience in the design, construction, remodeling, retrofitting, and repair of interior and exterior structures made of wood, drywall, plaster, concrete or brick. 10 Experience designing, building, installing, and repairing structural woodwork, flooring, ceilings and cabinetry. 11 Experience recognizing and selecting appropriate lumber grades and types. 12 Experience estimating costs, time and materials required of carpentry projects. 13 Strong knowledge of life equipment operation, hazardous materials handling safety procedures, and scaffold safety. 14 Experience in the repair and maintenance of painting assignments. 15 Experience selecting and applying paint and associated products. 16 Experience applying coatings and caulking; and completing repairs to exterior and interior surfaces. 17 Experience in wood surface preparation, staining, andor sealing techniques. 18 Experience in finishing drywall and knowledge of finishing with all common textures.
