Qualifying coursework or experience must include data mining for loss event exploratory analysis; statistical theory and practice, including data cleaning, hypothesis testing for sample means and distribution, ordinary least square OLS, generalized linear modeling GLM, logitprobit models and relevant standard diagnostic tests; assessment of the models overall suitability for its intended use and purpose, evaluation of the models theoretical framework, analysis and verification of data used in the model development to ensure its relevance and representativeness, statistical and analytical testing, code replication, benchmark methodologies, logical tests and accuracy checks to challenge the model effectively; using correlation analysis for stress testing and sensitivity analysis, and using regression analyses to project future loss frequency and future operational loss amount; financial accounting to determine appropriate operational risk exposure and key risk indicators; marketrelevant measures of risk and, in particular, market and credit risk modeling; macroeconomic theory to assess macro drivers related to variation in operational risk losses; programming in SQL, Matlab, Python, and R to extract, load, and transform loss data and to implement data mining, statistical analysis; and modeling; and utilizing statistical tools, including SAS, Matlab, R, LaTeX, EViews, and SQL, to conduct quantitative analysis.
