Requirements Earned Masters degree in Chinese Language, Chinese Linguistics, Chinese Language pedagogy, Chinese Literature, or a closely related field in hand by August 2020; Native or nearnative proficiency in Chinese and English; Excellent record of prior teaching experience at a U.S. institution, preferably in teaching Chinese as a foreign language; A strong commitment to undergraduate teaching and the enhancement of the Chinese program; Willingness to work collaboratively in a multilanguage environment; to organize cultural activities for students both in and outside of the classroom; to offer evening or online classes, and to teach in intensive immersion courses and programs, including Summer Language Institutes; Experience with proficiencyoriented instruction; Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment; Attention to detail; Excellent communication skills and customer service; Predisposition to work as a team member in a dynamic and flexible environment.
