MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics plus 5 years of experience in security solution development and research. Alternatively, will accept a Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics plus 3 years of experience in security solution development and research; or a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics.br br MUST HAVE 1 year of experience in at least two programming languages, including a scripting language; 1 year of experience in Internet technologies and fundamental protocols such as HTTP, TCPIP, TLS, and DNS; 1 year of experience with security technologies, processes, and concepts such as symmetric and asymmetric cryptography, TLS, and Authentication and Authorization; 2 years of experience successfully writing to technical and business audiences. Must be able to demonstrate clarity, effectiveness, and persuasiveness in communications; 3 years of experience developing complex algorithms and evangelizing security and threat intelligence in the marketplace; proven experience in public speaking in complex industry leading security topics; and proven experience in defining and architecting advanced threat intelligence solutions and bringing them to market. Unless otherwise specified, Akamai is not seeking a specific amount of experience. All experience can be gained concurrently.
