Requires a masters or foreign equivalent degree in mechanical engineering, robotics, computer engineering, or a related field and 2 years of experience in the position offered or 2 years of experience designing, prototyping, testing, and optimizing realworld robotic systems. Also requires 2 years of experience using robotic simulation and data visualization and analysis tools; applying Bayesian inference, mathematical reasoning, linear algebra and vector analysis;br developing technology for autonomous systems in one or more of the following areas controls, path planning, localization, mapping or perception; using Kalman Filters, Particle Filtering, Image Matching, ICP Iterative Closest Point, and Homogeneous transformations; and using CC, Matlab, and Python. Requires 6 months of experience developing and implementing algorithms in at least three of the following areas pose estimation, probabilistic filtering, sensorbr fusion, SLAM, nonlinear optimization, or computer vision; using at least three of the following sensor systems LIDAR, RADAR, Cameras, GPS, or IMUs; developing applications or tools using ROS Robot Operating System and at least one interprocess communication package;br using standard Unix software development tools; and performing code reviews and adhering to programming style guidelines. Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience.
