Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5 years of experience in all of the following automotive engineering or product design; CATIA V5 or equivalent Enterprise PLM system; coordinating development projects, working and successfully negotiating with other departments, suppliers, and manufacturing sites to accomplish tasks; creating, managing, prioritizing, and explaining detailed concerns lists; managing all facets of drawing issue including supplier management, drawing quality, 2D3D Product Lifecycle Management PLM, content negotiation, and approval; root cause analysis of problem items, critical thinking of complex problems, methodical investigation, while successfully creating and correlating a plan to drive success; and defending part design and problem item resolution to technical experts and technical evaluators.br br Alternatively, will accept a Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering and 3 years of experience in the above listed areas.br br Position also requires 3 years of experience in all of the following creating part design concepts to fulfill customer, project, and technical requirements; managing project schedules, including part by part schedules; creating and checking 2D and 3D data and layouts for seat design. Position also requires experience in all of the following designing seat and seat belt components; calculating and controlling component part cost, weight, and investment; identifying critical load path within a seat frame structure; and seat soft goods craftsmanship leather, trim, fabric, sewing, fit and finish and impact to related areas such as regulation, H.P. or Torso angle, subjective feeling, and performance. Travel approximately 510 of the time to unanticipated domestic and international locations is required.
