Minimum Requirements Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field followed by 5 years of progressive, postbaccalaureate experience in the job offered, or in a business intelligencedata warehouserelated occupation.br Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites within commuting distance of Slaloms Seattle, WA office.br br Special Requirementsbr Position requires at least 5 years of experience in each of the following skillsbr 1 Architect, design, develop and maintain large scale multidimensional data warehouse solutions that integrate data from heterogeneous sources;br 2 Design scalable, reliable and effective databases for data warehouses in platforms like Oracle, Teradata and Vertica;br 3 Gather and analyze requirements for the data and analytics needs of the business;br 4 Perform logical and physical data modeling for big data platforms using a hybrid of modelling techniques like dimensional modelling and 3NF in tools like Erwin;br 5 Design and implement batch and near real time data ingestion frameworks and ETL pipelines using technologies like Informatica, Oracle PLSQL, Teradata utilities like BTEQ and TPT, Vertica VSQL, Python and Unix shell scripts;br 6 Perform SQL query optimization for various environments and improve efficiency of ETL pipelines using advanced SQL constructs and platform specific optimization techniques;br 7 Design and implement data migration frameworks;br 8 Facilitate selfserve BI and dashboards by developing the business layer for the frontend BI tools like SAP Business Intelligence, Oracle OBIEE etc.;br 9 Perform unit, integration, performance and regression testing of data warehouse solutions;br 10 Develop proof of concepts and prototypes to evaluate new technologies in the BI space and make recommendations for improvements.
