Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Physical Education, or related, and five years of professional experience in coaching competitive fencing at an international level. Experience must include working with teams of children, young adults, and adults combining effective game play and team building training methods and providing individual, oneonone and twoontwo lessons to athletes to enhance their technical, tactical and athletic skills; contributing critical and original coaching techniques at a local, regional, national and international level in support of the fencing organization and athletes and documenting athlete progress in the areas of physical performance, technical fencing skills acquisition and tactical awareness; incorporating original offensive and defensive sparring training techniques, including the use of bison exercisers, with a tactical focus capable of training athletes in a group and individually; coaching through the use of statistical scheduling for sparring with a tactical focus of breaking down the most basic and critical steps and methods into repetitive training techniques to ensure awardwinning results of the individual athlete and team; and developing and managing a schedule of foilfocused introductory, beginning, intermediate and advanced training classessessions, focused on developing successful competitive fencers, including developing ageappropriate physical conditioning, endurance training, and strength enhancing activities for competition.br Position requires current United States Fencing Association USFA coaching membership and SafeSport certification by position start date.
