Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field plus 3 years professional experience in a product development environment. Requires 3 years experience in 1 Mechanical design using 2D and 3D CAD software and creating part and assembly drawings for production; 2 designing optical and optomechanical components, systems and performing precision optical alignments; 3 electro mechanical sensor integration in complex electromechanical systems; 4 scientific instrument data acquisition and processing; 5 creating Engineering documentation; 6 EMC, shock and vibration test experience and work with relevant compliance standards, such as RoHs, SEMI, CE, UL, or CDRH; and, 7 working with Class 1, 2 and 3 lasers and laser based instruments. Also requires professional experience working directly with 1 product development concepts, practices and procedure; 2 overseas and domestic suppliers and consultants; 3 Tolerance analysis, Finite Element Analysis, and, GDT applied to manufacturing drawings; and, 4 Precision mechanical engineering design motion systems or mechanisms.
