Background in education, training or experience must include ability to identify unmet customer needs and market trends in the apparel market space, and translate those into practical new product solutions in apparel market space; must have sufficient experience to enable the creation of competitive advantage through development of intellectual property, patent disclosures, and to facilitate first to market realization; demonstrated ability to provide technical support to new and existing customers by applying product and application knowledge in troubleshooting and product qualification efforts; demonstrated ability to market launches of new product offerings through technical presentations, customer support, competitive benchmarking and analysis, and participation in framing the business opportunity for new innovations in the apparel market space; experience must include working with customers to resolve product performance problems and to identify new opportunities to create a profitable product pipeline; technical understanding of the synthetic fiber and textiles industries, standard fabric manufacturing processes and a basic understanding of the polymertextilesapparel value chain from fiber to garment; experience in all elements of product development cycle, ideation, scouting, development, introduction, scaleup and commercialization of new products; experience working outside the lab at customer sites, trade show association gatherings or other venues; experience in designing experiments and testing programs in a safe and secure manner compliant with regulatory requirements and good manufacturing practices cGMPs.
