Experience must include one 1 year with each of the following experience may be gained concurrently creating moderately complex optical designs for commercial lighting products using refractive or reflective principles using Photopia simulation software; creating scenarios in AGI32 application software to analyze photometric information for commercial lighting products; generating complex threedimensional CAD parts and assemblies in Solidworks; directing sphere and goniophotometry of assigned design projects, analyzing resulting data and making necessary design modifications for commercial lighting products; working on a multidiscipline team to provide luminaire design guidance relative to optimizing optical design performance along with competing thermal, mechanical and electrical constraints for commercial lighting products; converting abstract product performance desires for commercial lighting products and convert to deliverable optical, photometric and application metrics; and converting resulting optical, photometric and application metrics for commercial lighting products to allow marketing strategies and performance advantages to be understood and converted to product specifications.
