Specific Skills
Candidates must possess, at minimum, a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, or related field as well as 24 months of fulltime professional postbaccalaureate work experience as a Test Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Analog Engineer, or related occupation. All candidates must also possess knowledge, as evidenced by passing a basic technical proficiency test, of all five of the following subject areas 1 analog circuit design; 2 power supply design; 3 digital design with microprocessors; 4 linear and nonlinear circuits; and 5 theory, programming concepts, and application of C, C#, Java, Python, JSON, SQL and interpreted languages. Note All candidates for all engineering positions at SEL must pass a basic technical proficiency test. Candidates must also be willing to comply with SELs DrugFree and TobaccoFree policies.
